This might be a stupid question but I was just wondering what are the smaller subspecies of redtail boa? I have an Emerald tree boa and he is about 3 years old and I was really getting interested in a redtail, but a don't want a giant snake, I was hoping to keep it under 6 or 7 feet. Any feed back would be appreciated.

Look into the central american locals, hog islands, cay caulkers, and they should mature below or at your desired mark. Males will tend to be smaller.
