Important Egg Question???

jaym713 Oct 04, 2007 06:21 AM

Ive had an egg incubating for about 5-6 weeks it still looks perfect as the same day she laid it and i was just wondering how good of a sign that is and are my odds looking pretty good that this egg will definitly hatch? Please lemme know b/c this is my first egg that hasnt gotten all moldy or dented after few weeks so im feeling like this might be the one so any input would be greatly appreciated thankyou everyone if you can help me out with some info or examples of your hatching expierience

p.s. the temp is about 85-86 degrees in the incubator

I would just coutinue to incubate it at female or male or both ( not sure what your incubating for and keeping the humidity at 70 %

hopfully soon the egg will start to do like a indent .. meaning hofully the egg will be hatching soon

remember for males it takes about 30 days and females like 60 - 90 ... apparenty from what i hear...

good lucj

If you can't stand it and need to know, hold a pen light up to the side of the egg (without moving it or digging up the substrate) with all of the other lights out. If it glows pinkish or red, you should be expecting soon. If it glows yellow, you've probably got a dud.
