Anyone ever heard of THIS guy???
I am posting this message to see if anyone else had a similar occurance. He sent me THREE IDENTICAL e-mails (suspicious), and they had strange literature in them (red flags all over). Those three e-mails were sent within 30 minutes of each other!
Could this be another one of those Nigerian scams in the making or what?
Here it is:
((( Greetings how are you and hope you are in a good health ,i saw your advert for the snake and i want you to give me your best offer ,I would arrangement myself cause i have a vet doctor that would come check on the snake for me .hope to hear from you .have a nice day
Eric xxxx
xxxx xxxxx )))

WELL: I checked the name and address; DOES not match!
Checked IP address; DOES not match!!!
Bottom line... He won't be getting MY address!!!
BTW: I DID write him back asking him: WHO are you? So far I received no responses (porbably not a surpise)!
Thanks for reading,

Anytime they use the word "advert" just delete the message.

I get those all the time.

Get them to take pics of themselves with names like Mr. Brooks or Ms. Getula. Ask them for proof they are who they say they are.

Gog with a big "G" is thee supreme being, creator of the universe ect. Since "He" (again capital "H" it refers to a persons name derived from the greek and hebrew there are many such names for G-d. The jews revered that name so much they would not even say it or write it. Hence G-d.

God with little "G" denotes a title or "a" god. The scam artits used big "G" in God.

We have a setting on your ads to only receive replies from registered users. If you chose this setting you can avoid 99% of the scammers. Seldom do they take the time to register. If they do, we can shut them off immediately when we find out.
If you chose to receive email from everyone, you will get them and there is nothing we can do short of censoring all your mail and that would be impossible.

Hi Ginger!
Thanks for editing my initial message (at least it wasn't deleted). But I can assure you that name you edited isn't even real! I checked beforehand, which is why I posted the FICTIONAL first AND last name of the perpetrator. Had it been a REAL name I would have respected that person's privacy - even if he IS a scam artist (a bad one at that)!
Check the location of the perpetrator's IP address and it'll blow you away! Too funny!!!

Oh I know - believe me. But this is a case of equal treatment of TOS. Sometimes you even have to protect the bad guys.

I got that message twice within the hour.
Second time I got it, I blocked the email address.

Any email that I receive that starts off with Greetings...
And has the word "advert" in it, sounds like a scan to me, ha.

I just block all of them.
It's pretty easy to tell real from fake.

As a Manager in the Post Office I see a counterfeit Postal Money Orders almost daily. Every time we confiscate them I ask the customer where they got them, and it's always either a bogus work at home scam or some ebay deal gone wrong.

I will never understand how someone would believe that a stranger trusts them enough to send a money order for more then the amount of sale, and in good faith send the balance back in the form of an actual money order.

Counterfeit Postal Money Orders are big right now, don't ship anything until you've cashed them at the Post Office and have money in hand.

Yes, those simple things are exactly what most folks don't think about - AND YES I'm not excluded in that bunch. I have my slip-ups too. Just been fortunate enough not to fall into any stupid trap yet! A little common sense goes a LOOOOOONG way!!!!
