I just read a ton of threads within this forum about "the sky is falling". Coming from my stand point, I think it's insanely awesome where the market is at right now. Even last year, I remember seeing a whole lot of animals I loved but didn't feel very comfortable investing in.. Bumblebees were $12,000.00 the last time I remember and now I see them for $1500.00! I can see where people who have invested heavily into their animals could be a lil aggitated right now but this opens up a whole new world to people could only afford a pastel or maybe a spider. Instead of dreaming to own or produce those untouchable morphs, hobby level breeders can afford them! There are enough animals under $2000 right now to keep us busy creating our own special designers for the next 10yrs! You will see a whole new crowd entering the arena in the near future, people who just want to have FUN with this and not look at it as an investment that's going to buy them a house.

lol... Leave it to me to NOT read the "Future" post...lol Well, you can add me to the group of people who are happy with what prices are. If I buy a pair of snakes for 2k and by the time I produce them they are worth $100, at least I had a year or two of something fun to occupy my time and the designer baby I had my heart set on!

the only problem i see with this is that the prices will drop too much where the new crowd will flood the market even more and we will have a market just as the corn snake market, where alot of the snakes are a dime a dozen.

Dime a dozen and a bunch of happy people owning their $200 killer bee (or whatever else might be their favorite morph)!

The BHB television show is going to give our hobby and lifestyles a lot of good press and flood the market just as badly as everyone seems to fear. Is that necessarily a bad thing?? I don't really think so, and there are a hundred reasons why...
