What does the term mean?

Simple Recessive means that you need two copies of the allele for the trait to be visible. If you have one copy of the dominant allele and one copy of the recessive allele, then you'll have an animal that's visually of the dominant phenotype.
If you breed two animals that are both simple recessive together, all of the offspring will also be visually the same. However, if you breed two animals that both are heterozygous for the trait, only 1/4 of the offspring will visually display the simple recessive trait, and those offspring are homozygous (two copies of the allele).
