I have read some people give their uros a bath. Is it neccesary? Does it help them shed easier(mine looks like it is getting ready to shed its head)? Are their drawbacks to bathing? thanks, Carl

They are a lizard that normally would not be taking a bath. The only time would be if they would be dehydrated for some reason or if they were extremely dirty, like their tail was full of feces or something. Then you would want to dry them off well or be sure they had plenty of heat to dry before turning lights and heat off for the evening. Don't bathe them just because it sounds fun or someone else does it. If you want to bathe a lizard get a water dragon or something. -Lucy
Very true!! and yes most uro's HATE baths i only give my uro's a 5-10 minute soak when they are haveing a very bad shed, or when one of my females lays eggs and she becomes dehydrated. baths in my opinion should be addministered only when needed...and sometimes I go months and months without doing it...you can really tell from the uro stool or as the uro does his/her buisness if the uro is dehydrated.
