I am home...and all seems well....more

icequeen Aug 22, 2003 10:35 AM

well, we made it home late Wednesday.
Zoe does look thinner...but his eyes were not sunken, and other than being CLEARLY, and DEEPLY pissed off at the world, he seems to be doing okay.
Normally he doesn't hiss at me too much when I go in his cage...but he must of gotten used to being left alone...because now he practically throws himself at me, hissing, gaping, and turning his "mad cham" colours!!
I don't pull my hand back from him though, so hopefully he'll realize that he will just have to get over his little hissy fit if he plans on eating! Either that, or I'm going to experience my first cham bite in the near future!!!

I definately have to find someone who is willing and responsible enough and teach themn how to feed Zoe. I think I would worry enough if I had the perfect pet sitter...but that 5 days just about killed me!!! Wondering constantly if he was alright.

But at least it seems to have turned out okay this time around.
Thanks to everyone for being so supportive (as always!)
And thanks for checking up on us lele!!!

Not surprised he's pissed but as you said, if he wants to eat - you're it!!!

As for my thought...we all know how difficult it is to go away and even MORE difficult to find a trusted, competent friend to care for our critters. Maybe we could do a thread of where folks are located and if someone is in your area contact them privately. I know this won't help me b/c I have often asked if anyone is in NH or Maine and never get a response, but maybe SOME of you will benefit it from it - what do you think??
