Everglades or Yellow?

bakeaway Oct 06, 2007 12:12 PM

I have a few snakes and want to get a rat to add to my (ever expanding) group. I know each snake,no matter the species, can have a different temperment. Just was asking which of either the everglades or yellow rat is calmer?
I am looking at just the basic ones, not any super hybrid.
Thanks

I have Blacks, Yellows, Grays, Texans and an Everglades Rat Snake, and if you ask me, they are fal in about the same range. Some can be very calm and others can be constantly afraid of you and will bite. None of mine are biters, but some are known to never tame. Please note that the ones that never tame are very rare animals, and none of mine are that way.

I have kept both and I find that the more everglades influence, the better the temperment. However, this is from a small sample size.
Photo #1 is two males combating.
Photo #2 is an adult female.
Photo #3 was produced by the female in the second photo bred to the lighter male in the first photo. I think it was a yearling in this photo.
