New Hampshire Show

blowitch Oct 06, 2007 01:16 PM

It is very disapointing to go to a show where even NERD has a table and not find a reason to stick around for more than an hour or so. The show in Manchester today was very bad. Atleast in my eyes. I spent more in gas and tolls than I would have on just about any animal there. I think the lone exception being Fred Kick's Orange Ghost Genetic Stripe.

Anyone else fare better?

I browsed for a little bit.. Most of the shows within driving distance of where I live (northern MA) aren't usually all that great. I was certainly also a bit disappointed, but again I wasn't expecting much. I didn't make any purchases at this show though, & I had headed out with the intention of bringing home a new addition.

I made two purchases at the show today I picked up a nice looking pastel with nice blushing, and a normal female with decent patterns. I agree the show was not that great. It was small and not a ton on vendors. The NARC setup was the best thats where i got my snakes from.

Steve Irwin you changed the way people look at reptiles forever. Crocodile Hunter you will be missed.

I got there late. I didn't even see Fred.

I loved the display in the far back corner that had vivariums & supplies!! I got a new display case & some goodies.

Matt & Kim, I am not worthy, lmao!!! I love you guys!!!! Thought you had a great setup going on. I bought a cbb amir line yb male from y'all. His belly is cool! FYI, these guys have a new loft warehouse setup & it is rad! I don't think it is open to the public, but I just wanted to give props to these guys for putting up with me/us, lol & for....having me over 2 wks ago. 2 of the most motivated & hard-working couples I know to date.

I also had a chance to talk w Scott @ CV Exotics. He has a new store in NH all stocked up. A good guy, that I always enjoy doing biz with. This time I bought a 100% het ghost poss het car alb from him. Hey, scott & I both celebrated our 10 yr wedding anniversary this year. And, we both continue to renovate our antique homes, (what a PITA, right Scott? lol) When the shows are dull, try & catch up with your fave vendors!!! That's what I did.

NERD. What can I say. You guys rock. Unfortunately, I could not afford much of anything at your table, but I sure did drool a lot looking at some your new morphs. WHOA!

MK Reptiles. I swung by 5 mins b4 closing & was pleased that your daughter was working the table. I look fw to the day our kids are old enough to get involved at that level.

J&J- I got there too late to chat, but thought you guys looked pretty good too.

I know it was a bit lackluster, & I got there very late, but I still had fun & was glad I went. Afterwards we went to Kittery ME, the trading post & a few outlets. Had dinner & when it started pouring, called it a night. I will go again next Fall.

Blowitch, sorry I missed you. Email to follow.

Also, if anyone on this board is from the New England area, please gimme a shout. Might be nice to connect or just email.
