Bullsnakes get over 8.5'. I have found them that large in Texas.

I believe general consensus is that bullsnakes from south Texas attain lengths in excess of 8 feet on a fairly regular basis in certain locales. Lengths attributed to captive bred animals should be given a different consideration. I have an 8 year old Northern pine that is 8.5 feet long........well above of the length of an example one could expect to find in the wild........sort of like the home runs hit by certain baseball players while juiced up on steroids. CB animals live in a perfect world........wild animals have to do it without any human intervention.

I had no idea bullsnakes got that large. I thought pines were the largest of the pituophis genus by any stretch (no pun intended). Thanks for the lesson.

Steve,

What brand of cages are those in the photo? Do you keep all your big pits in those? How do you like those cages? Thanks.

I would say bulls.
Even if this guy is only 5 feet tall this is still a huge snake.

This bull is supposed to be 112 inches.

These are from Boaphile plastics..........excellent cage design, and yes........my larger pits are housed in the 48"x24"x11.5" model.
