joshbrees Aug 22, 2003 11:53 AM

I was reading the post below and is it true that butter worms and wax worms are addictive? Is so why is this?

Thanks

i don't know if butterworms are addictive, but i do know that waxworms are. they probably are because of their taste or texture or high fat content. whatever it is, if you feed too many of them to a leo, they may refuse to take any other foods instead of waxworms for a while afterwards. the way to cure this is just to basically allow the gecko to become hungry enough to start accepting mealworms and crickets again. scenting the mealies with waxie guts also works i think.
