Snow update

Cody Aug 22, 2003 11:56 AM

This update is for everyone who was interested in seeing how this snow evolves. As you can see he’s changed quit a bit. His bands have gotten lighter and are now breaking up.

Here he is at 50 days old and 12 grams.

And he is at 12 days old.

i wonder why snows have never been that popular since they are so beautiful??? everyone seems to go for the tangs.

Snows actually are popular. Everyone wants A snows but the only problem is producing them. You can have two A snows and get C offspring. There's just more people breeding tangerines instead of snows.

Where did you get him from? Are you going to breed him? Do you know what female(s) you will breed him to yet? Seems like people have a hard time finding good snows.

Lovely gecko

He’s actually one of my hatchlings that hatched on 7/3/03. I’m raising him up and breeding him next year but I don’t know to whom yet. As of right now he is my best snow. =) And yes good snows are very hard to come by.

Beautiful. You should try to find him a good snow female, with what the demand seems to be for good snows (and lack of availablity), the offspring from a pairing like should justify a pretty expensive female, I'd think you could pay her off in one season. Though I have heard snows are tricky, not as predicatable when breeding as some other morphs. I don't work with them myself, but I think they are pretty. Of course if this strange little girl below comes out snow (I suspect she'll turn pastel superhypotang given her parentage and someo's else experiences with a similar baby) then I might have a new project on my hands- hyposnow albinos. Wouldn't that be fun!

Good luck!

I have several female snows, but only 1 A. The rest are B grade. He’s probably going to be bred to all of them because you can get A’s from C breeders. Yes, they are very tricky and that is the reason why. They just don’t breed true.

A hypo snow albino, now that would be cool. Keep your fingers crossed that she’ll turn into one. Good luck!

That's one of the nicest ones I have seen! Please put me on your list for some of those, once you are ready to sell some! Awesome!

that's one of the nicest examples of a true snow I've seen. Hope it stays that way for ya. Definitely a keeper.
