10/05/07 Birth PICs

Jeff Clark Oct 08, 2007 12:29 AM

This first PIC was taken after Caat99F4 had laid the first three or four babies.

This next PIC was taken when she was about finished delivering. Several of the babies had already crawled out of the laying box.

After she had delivered the entire litter I removed the mother and took this PIC of the babies that were still inside the membranes but with their heads poked through to breath. Caat99F4 made no attempt to eat the two slugs. The final count is 7.17 healthy babies that are 17.5 to 19 inches long and weigh 25 to 28 grams.

Thanks to everyone. I will post individual PICs after they shed. There are some nice clean bright and light orange ones in this litter.
