Just a normal, right?

Kevin Saunders Oct 08, 2007 12:42 AM

Let me apologize right off the bat, because I'm sure you guys get tons of normal BP pics and are asked if they're anything special. A friend of mine got a young ball that's not eating, so she gave it to me to see if I can get it started. When I picked it up I commented to her that it had a different looking face, and now she wants me to check with the experts (you guys) to make sure it's nothing unusual. My guess is that it's just a slight variation of the normal color/pattern, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to check.

The two things I noticed were the light colored triangular area on top of its head, and the very dark upper lip with some yellow pattern. Here are a few pics to show you what I mean:

Here's a pic of a normal I had for comparison (labial scales look different compared to this one, but I don't have any other normals to compare with):

Anyway, I just wanted to be sure it's nothing you guys haven't already seen a thousand of. I know sometimes yellowbellies for example can look a lot like normals but I wouldn't know how to spot one personally, so I thought it wouldn't hurt to get opinions on this one just in case. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Very pretty normal. I have a few that have those dots. Cool to look at. Now please get that baby some food. She is very skinny. Let us know how you make out with her.

She seems pretty normal to me, but none-the-less, quite stunning. It wasn't her head or face that got my attention, but she seems to have a very light, creamy color about her, and I love how high those whites reach up her sides! She's very pretty. I hope she starts doing a little better... Good luck!
