Who produced the best looking Hogs?

JaredHorenstein Oct 08, 2007 01:47 AM

I am looking to possibly get a small group of Hog's, but I am really picky about the anials I get and would like to get the best examples possible of the locale. I want PURE locale animals that can be verified....I am not interested in crosses.....

So if anyone knows any Hog specific breeders I woudl appreciate the help & or info.

Thanks in advance folks....

Jared

Chad Duggin. These guys are from this years litter and blow away 95% of the Hogs I've seen in person. I've had the chance to see yearlings from the same lineage, and again, they are a step up from the general population. I do need to take better pictures of the group though. These were taken as they were being un-packed.

Hi Jared, lots of them out there, but like you said, you want to know what you're getting.

Lots of people I don't know too well are working with legit Llemke animals and other lines, which are great.

I also know that Gus over at Rio Bravo Reptiles continuously produces some of the lightest, brightest, prettiest, most colorful hogs out there... and with Gus, you can be SURE of where they came from.

Hope you find what you're looking for!

Take care, Joe

I second Gus/RioBravo... really good stuff and you know what you're getting.

The male I got from him has retained a very light pale coloration. Although I think I like him more than he likes me..

I am sure Carl has already told you about him but I would second John Yocum in IL! I have purchased a few from him and they are spetacular and I do not give my those grades very liberally! If you see some of the ones I own in the flesh, you wouldn't believe your eyes...tons of color!!! And I suck at photography by the way and am not able to capture all the color.
