I finally picked up a male for my female that I got earlier this year. He is a very clean looking male in my opinion and hopefully he will be able to handle the big female I have. I had them both to the vet for a health check and the female is just over 16 pounds and the male is just over 4 pounds. I am gonna call him Norbit.

Beautiful boy you got there!!! We are going to have to get some BHPs one of these days. I hope he knows how to handle himself with the ladies and you get some BIG eggs here before too long!!! And if you do, make sure to post more pics

Thanks for the kind words. You are ahead of me on the diamonds so it might end up being a trade between us if your are still looking when they produce.

If I was any good with a camera you would see this guys real colors. In the top pic you can see a bit of the reddish purple tint in his color. All of his bands are like that on the sides. he is very sweet and I am very happy. In the rest of the pics I have blown out his color with the flash. I might try to get him outside while it is still warm enough up here. I doubt being outside will improve my picture taking abilities but who knows, I might get lucky.
