Viv for cornsnake questions

anyone have any advice on plants, features, diy, for a living viv for a cornsnake?

I tryed a planted tank for a yearling corn. It worked quite well for three months before I moved and had to tear it apart. I was mostly messing around and just wanted to see if it would work, but I intend to try it again with a few modifications and some more interesting plants.

Here is my advice...

Snakes and plants do not mix if they are crowded. You need a large cage or very small snakes. Choosing hardy plants helps too.

Set up the cage and plant the plants a few weeks before ou add the snakes. This gives the plants time to root and establish before being trampled by a snake exploring its new home.

There are some good books about live vivs with snakes. Check out "the art of keeping snakes"

here is my little test tank. I just cut those pothos and stuck them in the dirt and they actually did just fine.
