Looks like an unique albino yes,(but then again almost every clutch has something a little unusual....doesnt mean its a new morph) however, how can you claim it as genetic. Have you breed one of these back to see if it is infact genetic......

JasBalls Oct 09, 2007 07:19 PM

Who said it was a new morph? My het albino female is a Genetic black back. Proven for 3 strait years. Half the clutch is Always blackBack. I finally hit on the albino version of her. Sorry for My Excitment over this long process of getting a Black Backed albino!!

the pattern needs to be alot better for good ones...they will come..keep going........some are better than others..you'll know when you get a better one.....I had better white backs but not full patterned yet.....I had pastel black backs this year but the full striped one died and the great looking one is over 2/3 black striped then the last 1/3 almost switches to the opposite with a yellow striped tail end.....sad......but she screams.

Graziani I think made some white backs......about as good as yours there......

..........keep going...you'll see.......I wish they were more recessively genetic......but they act worse than aztec corns.....

Jas, congrats and I'm not trying to rain on your parade. I just see sooooooooooo many claims for this and that, that the BP hobby is starting to become quite humorous.

A blackback would be a snake with no pattern along the doral or very few spots. In a normal phase, it would be all black along its back without any dorsal patterning, but since its albino you see a very WHITE back. Some snakes have a stripe down there dorsal, some have spots, some have broken stripes, some with a blushed out back, then there are those with black backs. There are a lot of different looks on Ball Pythons.
