WC genetic question ?

dinodon Oct 09, 2007 01:08 PM

I have a WC fem I got as a rescue, I won't go into details on that, but shes doing well now. I never realy took a good look at her, as she was parisite free, and I just wanted to let her settle down, and feeding, in her new inclosure, before messing with her.

I'm still not touching her, so I can't take pics yet. But will, as soon as she has picked up a little weight.
I was feeding her tonight and she came out of her hide a bit futher than usual and got a good look at her. 3/4 of her body have solid black and brown, bands with no breaks in them, not straight bands but wavey. She also has a spot of albiinism about the size of a pinky nail.
I'll post pics as soon I can.
Is a ball python with bands a morph, Or would it be considerd a normal, and is there a chance the albinism spot could mean she is pied ?
Thanks for any help.

I'm not an expert by any means, but I believe a spot of albinism could be likened to the paradox morph... I have no idea about the striping without a picture. Here's a picture from the forum last week of a good-looking paradox ball:

The "albino spot" sounds like a ringer. They usually have a small flame of white near the end of the body/ tail area. On a good ringer you can see a little orange color on the belly near the area of the ring.
