Most of the founding stock from Vivid Reptiles, where I purchased my male shown here, were from near Los Mimbres.

Jim Sargent from Split Rock Reptiles has some killer Rio Conchos locality deppei deppei that are unique in their dark orange tails. Very striking animals.

Yeah, I remember looking at Split Rock Reptiles' Rio Conchos before I bought my guy from Vivid. Very nice looking snakes. Probably my favorite out of what I have seen, but I didn't want to buy a pair of them, and they were more expensive than Tim's at Vivid. Plus Tim hooked me up on a single male. Man I can't wait until the colors start to come through on mine.

You picked a nice one that is already showing some good coloration coming in. Keep us posted!

Man that guy is smokin Billy. How old is he in the picture? Randy

Thanks Randy!!

He is 3 now but this was taken last year so he was 2.
Cool thing was that he was born pretty much with these colors already showing and is just getting better.

Ditto on Jim Sargent's Rio Concho animals.......very striking. It's a damn shame American field herpers cannot have reasonable access to the herps from some of these more interesting locales. It appears to be a one-way street.......Mexicans heading north to exploit opportunity in the US, but hands off to the gringo looking to reciprocate.
