>>I have used the 5% Seven dust for years with nothing but success. Put the snake in a pillow case and sprinkle the dust in on top of them. Make sure they get good and covered. Tie it up and let them set for 30-45 minutes. After I remove them from the bag I soak them briefly in a little luke warm water just to remove the excess(do not wash it off. But I will tell you that it can be very dehydrating to very young snakes. Also it does nothing for the mites that may be crawling around in the enclosure or the eggs. For the tank, cage or tub/rack I wash it out as completely as possible. After rinsing while it is still wet I put some Seven dust in an old sock and dust the entire Enclosure inside and out. The water will cause it to clump and stick in all the corners and crevices. Any mites moving around or hatching are literly in the middle of a mine field. I know this seems like a lot of work but this is a technique that I started over twenty years ago, before Prevent-A-Mite. If your in a pinch try it, just make sure to give your snake plenty clean fresh water.

I used the 5% a few times, and i actually sprinkle some into the tubs(,but you must remove the water bowls to do this.)Then clean it all out a few days later..As well as using it like carpet freshener in my snakeroom.
..and to echo what Jeff said...it can be very dehydrating to the little ones(anything under say 200 grams or so)
