Probe placement

munoxide Oct 09, 2007 07:07 PM

Im running a 75w light in a 20 gallon tank with a digi therm. Where do i place the probe at? As im getting different readings from place to place. Im getting 95 with it on top of the hiding box where he hides underneath the light. On the front side of the tank a couple inches from the bottom im lucky if it hits 90. Im thinking it should be placed where the snakes body is, which would be a couple inches up from the bottom, but should i use the reading from underneath the light,on top of the hiding box which is 2-3 in from bottom, or on the side of the tank a couple inches up?
Thanks

Personally ........
Some Flex-Watt and a Thermostat for manageable UTH would be a far better option then fighting the loosing battle your in now.
