what size enclosures you do keep adult obsoleta in?

the nerve Aug 22, 2003 01:39 PM

I'm starting to think about getting a permanent enclosure for my black rat... she won't fit in her 10 gallon forever, so I want to get something that she can comfortably live in all her life.

I was thinking of a 50-60 gallon tank. What do you use?

A 50 or 60 would be great for quite a long time. You may someday wish to go larger if and when your snake gets really big.
Right now mine are all in 50 gallon sterilite containers that I found at SuperWal*Mart for the amazing price of 10 bucks each.
They have plenty of room now, and probably will for quite some time. I realize that one or more of my obsoleta may someday graduate to something even larger, but they are pretty comfy now.
Good luck. North American Ratsnakes are great! Duffy
