dutchjumper Oct 10, 2007 01:49 PM

so i have a ( corrections please if im wrong)

Patternless

tangerine- in shed

blizzard

and im stumped on number four

assuming the two babies are female what would produce a nice amount of variance in babies?

I do know the tangerine is het for CT and the blizzard MAY be het snow, but they arent sure.

I think the last one is some kind of jungle maybe? Maybe a Hypo of some sort? Might take some time to tell. Also, I don't think the blizzard is het for Snow. I'm pretty sure that Snow is a dominant trait, it is either a Snow or it isn't. This would make sense since there is a super form. Nice looking leos though, have fun.

The last one looks like a Super Hypo Carrot Tail Baldy (SHCTB) It might be a Tangerine too, you will have to wait until it gets a little older. Also you said one is het for Carrot Tail. I'm pretty sure that Carrot Tail is a line bread trait, so it can't be het, someone please correct me if im wrong. Nice looking animals though.

four is an aberrant. S/he is either hypo or super hypo, possibly tangerine, possibly bald (I don't recall checking that bit on your pics, but if someone spotted that, I'll defer). Looks tang to me, but colors in pics can often be decieving. And I can guarantee you do not have a het CT. No such animal babe. As for the het snow, well, off the top, if you got it from the same place that sold you a het CT, chances are they're full of crap on the snow bit too. I believe there are 2 types of snows out there, one line bred, and one dominant. That bit I may be wrong on, I'm not big with the snows. But the rest of it, I'm sure.

Thank you everyone for your input.

apparently I WILL not be buying ANYTHING new from that woman.

I did do some research, but I guess genetics is too hard for my brain and I didnt know that snows were ALL dominant or line bred.

And as far as the CT im sure that she just lied

So is anything that I have worth holding onto? I was hoping that down the line I could possibly breed and have some nice animals.

Im keeping the blizzard since shes just a total love and IMO shes nice.

Every single animal is worth the effort in my opinion...
I have different morphs and I still love when my normal babies hatch! They are one of my favorites...

I agree wholeheartedly! Every one of those animals is worth keeping. They appear healthy and I hope you planned on keeping them for the duration of their long lives when you originally bought them. There are several combinations you could use to produce various babies, depending on the sexes of yours, but I very strongly advise LOTS more research before you end up housing 50 babies that did not turn out to be what you were expecting. Also keep in mind that the leo market is just about flooded already.
