are there any chicago area venomous shows? i'm not keeping any hots yet but it'd be great to have a venomous show to check out.

The closest show to Chi would be the Sewerfest show in Racine, WI. Usually held once a year in July. This year there is a second show the Sunday after Thanksgiving as well. www.sewerfest.com
Owning venomous in IL is also illegal as far as I know.

i looked around and it seems you can get a permit to keep venomous in IL. i have a permit for endangered species already, so i doubt it would be too difficult to get the venomous permit.
anyway that's years down the road. non-hots and rear fanged is fine with me for now, i'd just really like to go to a show. maybe i'll see some of you at sewerfest.
