bed-a-beast, eco-earth, etc.

I got Eco-Earth, soaked it and for some reason thought it was in sheets, not loose, but that is fine. My only question is about herps ingesting it? I would think they would be MORE likely to consume some b/c it is so small or is it b/c it IS small that it is not a problem.

Also, one of you mentioned combining it with bark - how much and what is your reason? Thanks!

I use Bed-A-Beast for my frogs and some geckos. For the geckos I mix it with a natural calcium carbonate sand and it works great.

I've only read in a couple of places about impaction from one of the coconut husk bricks... but I always hear it's fine, otherwise. And I don't see a point to mixing it with bark.
