A bit late, but...

bcijoe Oct 10, 2007 06:18 PM

I've been so busy lately... had this all set to post back in August!!! just found it going through some old files here on my PC. Figured i'd post it anyways.. hope you like.

So, another year in Daytona at the NRBE and as usual, oh what fun it was!

As usual, came home with more snakes than what I left with! LOL

We got stuck upstairs this year, which didn’t work out too well. They tried routing people around the building for registration to get to see us and others around us. Good effort, not good results… lol

There I am…

Someone asked about that slogan on my shirt, so I responded with, ‘That’s what I’ve heard!’ LOL

We didn’t have the open top like downstairs with stadium lighting, we had an 8’ ceiling with low wattage single incandescent bulbs, so lighting was very poor at best.

I had a great time as usual. I had some friends helping out, including my ‘Silent Partner’ Mike Cottom of Ocala, Fl. Mike helps out with some of our breeding projects since he’s got WAY BETTER weather up where he lives. You’ve got real, gradual, sustained winters with pressure drops and all. Anyone that lives somewhere, like Miami, with no ‘real’ winters, knows how tricky it maybe to get some boas to go.

Well, was glad to see some of these kids go to new homes.

This girl found a new home in the Boaphile “Black Hole”

This little girl was in shed but still received lots of compliments and sold.

This one was said to be Best Pastel in Show by MANY people, including the Commander of the Black Hole himself! What an honor that was!

She went home with the good people at Jeremy Stone Reptiles. I have requested some of her future offspring.

This is her light phase

and here she is colored up NOW keep in mind this pic is overexposed, that rock beneath her is dark blue, and she was so intense it was just silly!

Here’s another guy that got sucked into that Black Hole.

AND NOW FINALLY I get to show off a few of my new toys! HA!

Some I don’t have pictures of …

Arabesque Het Anery poss Het Albino aka poss DH Snow

Jungle Het Anery Female yearling to go with my Male

Motley Het Anery Male

A very Red Hypo Female

Here’s a male here which is Red, Reverse Stripey’ and weird just like a female I have waiting for him. They should go this season.

And as always, a bunch of SLAMMIN’ Pastels to add to my collection!

was a lucky find for me and I have no problem giving credit where it's due.

Bay Area Reptiles usually posts some commons and hypos here in the Boa Classifieds.

One day they posted this guy and I didn't even blink... LOL

Next thing you know he's in my hands and i'm happier than a kid in a candy store!

I really hope to produce boas like this and better this season or next at most.

Thanks for the kind words.

Take care, Joe
