When to remove Pups of Neoregelia compacta?

I have a Neoregelia compacta in my tank and it is doing great it has several pups coming off either site i would like to use them in a new tank i am going to be setting up and was wondering how to tell when they are ready to be separated from the mother plant?

You should wait until the pup is 1/3 to 1/2 the size of the mother plant. Carefully cut the pup away from the mother down at the roots. Take a little root with the pup if you can. Eventually the mother plant will die off naturally, so you may want to leave one pup to take it's place, so you don't end up with a bald spot.

Sounds good to me i will be sure to leave 1 to take the place right now it is looking really crowded because the pups are about half the size or so and the mother is huge.. still my favorite brom i just love the green on it and my auratus sleep in the axils
