What book is next.....

Sunshine Oct 10, 2007 08:13 PM

...okay, so I love books. Usually non-fiction reference type stuff. I have acquired a few since the inception of snake keeping. Am I missing any must-haves? Does anyone have recommendations on what I should get next? All I have are the Rainbows, Hog Isle's and Corn Isle's...although a pair of chondros are still in my mind.

Here's what I have:

Rainbow Boas and Neotropical Tree Boas
Boa Constrictor Manual
Reptile Parasites
What's Wrong With My Snake?
Amphibians and Reptiles of the Bay Islands and Cayos Cochinos
The Complete Boa Constrictor
The Reproductive Husbandry of Pythons and Boas
The Living Boas
Texas Snakes
Snakes opf the World
Reptiles (mostly photos)
Biological and Surgical Husbandry of Captive Reptile Husbandry

Hmmm....maybe that's all of them.
I also have about 4 years of Reptiles Magazine and a dozen old Vivarium mags.

I don't have a Mader book or that Boa Constrictor Morph book yet.

Any ideas? Anyone have these books?

I have "Rainbow Boas and Neotropical Tree Boas" and I didn't find it to be useful at all, really. It begins by insisting that rainbow and tree boas are display animals only, they can't be handled, and doesn't really have much detail, it's mostly just a couple of paragraphs about every rainbow or tree boa sub species, and some very basic care information. Some decent pictures, but that's about all I can say for it. Also it's awfully short. I'd been expecting something a little longer.

...nice pictures, but the author seems frightened by Rainbows. I disagree with much of the technical information.
