Bull Snake Genetics

Skyz Oct 11, 2007 01:20 AM

Me and my friend are confused on the genetics of bull snakes. Could someone please explain the white sided and red genes. Are they co-dominent or recessive?
Thankz,
Skyz

the white side is a recessive trate must have to or at least one and a het to make more or a 100% het to a 100% will yeald you more white sided babies.
this is a het to het breeding
25% WT 50% Het. white sided, 25% Homozygous white sided,
from a visual to a 100%het Homozygous white sided,
Het. white sided, 50% Het. white sided, 50% Homozygous white sided,
hope this helps
