Breeding season is coming up and I was wondering if CB-70 tubs are too small for these guys if there is a pair in them.

~ ASK ME ABOUT MY BALLS ~
First off let me say great looking snakes.
2nd I would definetly use some thing much bigger at least a 4 foot cage. You need to give them some room to move and regulate.
If the female is not receptive of the male the small enclosure will just stress her out more.When they need some away time there is no place for them to go.
The girls them selves should be housed in something a bit bigger then a CB70. They do need ROOM.

40x30=1200 inches squared
48x24=1152 inches squared
It's more than enough room, you're not using 8' 35lb females...
Good luck with your pairings! Looks exciting
Hi Matt,
I have been using vision cages for my dwarfs [anything up to 4.5ft) (Sonorans, nicaraguans, El salvador cross) and they have worked out great. I am not sure of the model number but they are 28" wide, 24" deep and 12" high. For my larger boas I use Boaphile type cages.
Out of interest. For 4 years I bred Sonoran boas in racks that were 33" deep, 17" wide and 7" high without problems.

I too have bred Sonorans, Nicaraguans and other smaller to mid size central american and insular animals in Boaphile Blanket Box Racks. Ball pythons too. lol
This year I will be breeding a few central americans, smaller colombians, and larger ball pythons in the Vision CB/V70 racks/tubs.
The only issue I can foresee is cleaning a mess while both are in there, which I don't really expect to happen.
I've got 5 footers in these tubs and when they are coiled, they don't even cover 1/5 to 1/4 of the tub.
Those Panamanians should do great in there Matt.
Best Wishes!
