Did my snake shed??

FlagSStaff Oct 11, 2007 12:27 PM

I picked up a one year old Thayeri a few weeks back and he's been very happy, eating well, etc. Middle of last week, he started to get milky, eyes all cloudy, etc. indicating Today, I went to change and clean his water dish and I noticed his eyes are back to normal and the first 1/3 of his body is nice and shiny, with therest slightly dull, but not milky. I searched all over the place for any type of shed skin, but couldn't find anything. Is everything ok? Should I be concerned? Thanks for any and all help!

What's the best way to do this? Move the water source closer to the heat? Thanks!

You can do that, i usually just spray them down, just make sure its not too wet

I have found normally they start off getting a waxy look then the eyes milk, then they clear up and usually within 7 days or so they will shed. sounds pretty normal though.
