Some pics

CDieter Oct 11, 2007 12:31 PM

I'm attaching some pics as the forum is real slooooow lately.

The first is an American alligator munching on a smaller one of the same. The second is me feeding a 9ft foot Nile croc.

The other photo is of a couple student I have doing an alligator temperature/btu absorption study. Actually 100 students are involved but I just chose this photo. We are in the Houston area and it is amazing how many of these kids never get to the outside. It has been eye opening for them to be involved with this project.

The pic of the student sitting and watching the alligator is especially meaningful. He did a great job out there in the swamp.

if so i see a picture of someone holding a adult yacre caiman on there. is it possible for you to get ahold of an adult dwarf caiman and hold it for a picture? i see there are adult caiman pics there but you really can't tell how big they are. ofcourse i know how big they get and all that but i have never seen a picture of a person holding an adult. i think it would be a great tool to use for a reference on how big "dwarves" get. alot of people think they stay tiny and are fooled by the name. i have a dwarf myself and i would love to be able to show a picture of a person holding an adult.

or standing next to one. just to get the ratio of person to caiman size....if that makes any sense.

No, that is Chris Hunter.

Type nature coast exotics into a search engine and you'll find his place.

I guess I should have read some posts before posting... Is there any way I could possibly come see your gators or help a bit on weekends? I'd love to learn from one of the best!

If it's possible, msg me - I'll send you my personal email address.
