More memory lane....anery! DUW

rainbowsrus Oct 11, 2007 03:36 PM

My female yearling anery shed yesterday so I got some new pics and loaded up several older ones as well...

Last year when I she arrived. 2006/09/26

And with her brother for contrast also 09/26

A month and a half later 2006/11/06

February 18th of this year

April 27th

July 6th

August 20th

And last night, she's still holding onto her nice white crescents

For comparison, I added in Popeye, my new male anery from 2007. Yearling and hatchling together, but they wouldn't hold still so only a couple of pics

And Popeye by himself, he was holding fairly still except for the occasional strike at the camera.

Agreed but I believe, just like hypo, there is room for improvement with selective breeding!!!

I am sure of that. If you look at Hondurans and each of its morphs today, what was once called a hypo years ago hardly passes as one now, just like anery, ghost and it continues. This hold true to many species that have been in the pet trade just look at corns and balls talk about morphs and colors.

That is why its such an exciting time for BRBs not many morphs out and many more to be expressed and I cant wait!!

Thanks, that's a huge advantage of taking and keeping lots of pics and having a photobucket account to store some in.

Very interesting color shift. I find it strange that the Anery's get brown as they grow. She is lovely none the less.

Yeah, I do like them but if they kept the greys, WOW, that would be amazing.
