fogger/humidifier

fantasyxbabygurl Oct 11, 2007 08:26 PM

Ive seen foggers in some pictures of reptile enclosures to keep up the humidity. Does anyone know of any bad side effects?

too much humidity can cause blisters and all sorts of other problems. And, too much moisture can promote mold/mildew/fungus growth in the terrarium.
It should be fine as long as the humidity levels were monitored very frequently.

I have one, and while it gets hot (so you probably shouldn't use it with very small pools) it doesn't shock me. I'm not sure if something is wrong with yours or not.

What humidity levels should i be going for (boa constrictor) ive seen two humidity meters and one was digital and gave a percentage reading while the other wasnt digital and the hand poited to dry/normal/moist or something like that.

You want the digital one that gives you the reading as a percentage.
