Did anyone see the Pets episode of Taboo on the National Geographic channel the other night featuring snake owners and people who stuff their pets after death? I happen to have missed it, but for those who saw it, what was your take on it?

it was decent - people getting pets stuffed, pros and cons of pet monkeys, iguanas, snakes. amusing to say the least. only complaint is when they used a boa for a flashback scene discussing rogue burms. Brady Barr has a new giant snakes show this sunday on nat geo channel
I just saw a rerun of it. It could have been better; there were a few inaccuracies such as (like you mentioned) showing a Boa constrictor when discussing a story about the cat eating Burmese, and stating ball pythons grew over 6 feet.I think it was a bit sensationalized as well.
that sucks, ive been trying to to convince people balls usualy max out at 4.5 feet for years, i guess ill be doing it for a while longer.
a herpers work is never done

Yeah, I can't decide if I want to watch that one or not. Based on the previews, he screams like a little girl when a python bites him.
For someone who is so fearless around big crocodilians, it is amazing what a p***y he is with snakes!

I saw the clip on youtube. He did indeed scream like a little girl.
I've seen several documentaries of this dude, and I'm not at all impressed by him, or many others for that matter.
All they ever seem to be interested in, is getting viewers to "ooooh and ahhh" about the animals they "sensationalize, instead of really telling things the way they ACTUALLY are.
The reason they do this, is that the "general" public wouldn't know the difference if it hit them in the face anyway.
And yes, I also thought that he screamed like a little girl from a "B movie" that just saw a monster!!LOL......the way he was carrying on,....you'd think he was getting his leg slowly amputated............oh well, that's entertainment for ya'!

yeah, most of those shows are only about over sensationalizing everything...I think that's why we loved Steve Irwin so much, he did't tell ghost stories of 20' boas eating people to scare the children. I still miss him.

I saw Brady Barr on the Jay Leno Night Show, and it was sad. He had a (20 foot ?) long retic, and he was letting it crawl around only holding on to the tail, while going on telling people how vicious snakes were, and then he sat down laying it across an actress's lap, and continues to talk about how they are mindless killers. Let's look at that from an (uneducated) outsider's view. Brady Barr brings a (20 foot ?) "vicious mindless killer" to a live show with a studio audience in the 100s, and lets it crawl around (menacingly), almost uncontrolled, (although it could have gotten away if it wanted to), and then lays it on a perfectly unsuspecting actress. Now either Brady Barr is an idiot or a liar...Which one, i leave up to you. Personally I go with c: all of the above. Thank you and goodnight
