Hi guys,
If anyone lives up near me in South NJ they probably were prepared for this cold weather. I knew it was going to get cold last night, but not quite as cold as it did in my house. I woke up this morning and it was 67F in the snake cages with only the UTH. And of course both of the snakes weren't anywhere near them. I also have heat lights which are on now. What do you think is the best thing to help keep the heat in the cage?

As I turned around I smelled a
horrible "dirty body" smell, and there standing behind me were two poor homeless men. As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was "smiling". His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God's Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, "Good day" as he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, "Coffee is all Miss" because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm).

67 degrees is perfectly OK with a UTH. If the snake's aren't on it, then there's a reason. Snakes make temperature selection choices based on their needs.

Agreed. If its not sitting over the heat pad it must not feel the need.
