A little project

Hollychan Oct 13, 2007 07:11 PM

When I first received my lavender cali through Fedex, I put her in a very basic home with plastic leaves and a fake log. I have been gradually working on converting her home over to a full vivarium. I don't want to do the process suddenly, so that I don't stress her. I have been adding a new portion about once per week. The biggest change, of course, will be her substrate, so I think I'll be mixing peat moss and soil (not commercial potting soil, I'd rather not deal with the fertilizers) in with her aspen bedding, so that it should be a fairly gradual change.

Here's a picture of the project so far:

This is my sweet lavender cali kingsnake who lives there:

Looks very nice . If you put a few pieces of thick wood she will use it to climb .
I find if given thick wood they love to climb . I menion thick wood because soon the wood you have might be to thin for her.
Great looking snake
