California State Laws

Does anyone Know any loop holes or permits that are easily obtainable to own a hot snake? I know that an Albino atrox is legal through so weird law they have about albinism. I guess it would be some thing to do with it not being able to survive in the wild. But if any one knows the legalities on other species that would be great. thanks.

I can't answer most of your questions, but the exception for albinos is fairly common in places where native species are not allowed to be kept and exotics are. It has more to do with the fact that being albino is close to absolute proof that it was not collected from the wild.

what about other non native animals any way to get these in? I mean illegaly would be easy. But I'm not sure that I want to take the risk.

Native snakes are legal, exotics are not. You won't get a permit in Cali for any exotics. They just don't seem to give them to anyone.

Especially when you post it on this forum...

CDFG does not suffer fools, or those looking to bend the law. dont become a statistic and make it bad for those of us who follow the law.

Nope, native snakes to California only.
