Ball Python EGGS look like this?????????

MikeinLA Oct 14, 2007 01:18 PM

I am not sure of the exact date these eggs were dropped. Are they suppose to look like this???? They are due to hatch ANY day now. Should I cut one open or just wait.
Thanks

They are just dimpling, it makes it easier for the babies to pip out. Dont worry about it.

If they are close to hatching, then all is well. Just keep watching. Fun times are coming soon!

They start tp dimple during the last couple weeks. Are they starting to come apart from each other as well? You do now now what day they were laid? Not even plus / minus a few days? This will give you a better idea if you know at least to within a few days.

If you listen to Jas, you need the Jas to reality conversion chart. I am sure you do not have one, so here it is:

If Jas tells you to cut eggs on a certain day, add 20 days.

If Jas tells you to breed your male at a certain size, add 200 grams.

to look like right before they hatch. They'll do just fine without help.

If they're due to hatch any day, then they're perfectly normal, healthy eggs. That's what they do before hatching -- the softer shell is easier for the babies to pip through. Those eggs actually look REALLY great compared to many clutches I've seen in pictures over the years. Very clean with no weird spots, windows, or mold. Good job!
