Pastel morph question....?

mannyrottie Oct 14, 2007 04:54 PM

I have a female super pastel and a female spider and in a few months I want to purchase a male pastel. I was looking at "normal" pastel males and a lemon pastel male. Would it be wise to purchase the lemon and would the bees and supers vary according to the lemon as opposed to normal pastel?

Mannie, if I was you, I would look for the nicest looking adult Pastel male you can find. As an adult, he would not change anymore, and what you see is what you get. OR, buy a Pastel Ghost male, or Pastel Het Ghost male, I have seen them for as low as $400 for a Pastel Het Hypo male.

The Lemon Pastel is just a line of Pastels, some are nice, some are ugly. Take a look at the post with my Sulfur Pastel, the Pastel used for comparison is a Blonde Pastel, supposed to be a nice line. It is one of the ugliest Pastels I have ever seen. Bottom line, buy the Yellowist Baby you can find, or buy a stunning adult, or buy a cross.

I would reccomend a Pastel Yellow Belly for your male. They are still inexpensive and you get a double morph right off the bat and possibly triple morphs if bred to the Spider.

You can't go wrong with either pastels or lemons....

What are you looking for ... clean crisp animals?? Lemons might be better....

If you want a snake with a ton of blushing go with a normal pastel......

Either way you'll be happy.....
