What type of creature should I get?

Clauzilla Oct 14, 2007 05:21 PM

Ok , I was given a 39 gal hexagon fish tank and when I got it home and put water in it it leaks a tiny amount, I don't want to try and fix it so I got a new tank.
I was thinking it might be fun to put some type of creature in it that does not require alot of water ( like fish do)I was thinking perhaps a lizard or other amphibious creature...but I am open for suggestions.

I would have to make a tight fitting lid and perhaps the correct light if needed, I have a Flourescent that I can change bulbs in.
I have a stand, it would be in my living room more as a showpiece.
The tank is about 2 feet high and each pane is 8 1/2 inches ( 8 of them)
So suggestions would be great on what you would put in there.
I have had reptiles and amphibians before so i do understand their care and if its a breed I don't know about I am not afriad to learn

Thanks

Get a free tank , and make plans for some new critter friends to live in. There are so many COOL things you could do,

What do you like best, would you like some kind of small lizards to watch? If so maybe some arboreal/climbing geckos or longtailed grass lizards, Nicely planted, with some small limbs/vines would look cool.

Or you could go with small frogs, and have a small water pond area/ even use a shallow plastic container for the water, and land around, depending on what froggies you choose. The posssiblities are limitless and exciting, so with those examples, maybe you can do a search and read aobut some and figure out what would suit you best!

In any case I wish you the best on your tank filling quest, hehehhee Be sure to let us know what you have decided.
