My 9 month old croc monitor just finished shedding about a week ago. The problem is the last 2 inches of his tail always retains the old skin.I've let it go to see if it will come off on it's own but no such luck. If left there it will build up over multiple sheddings. The humidity in the enclosure is a steady 70% and he has a water bowl that will allow him to completely submerge himself.I usually mist the enclosure two to three times a week and also mist down his tail to see if it helps.Aside from removing it by hand (which iv'e done very carefully on a few occasions)what other methods does anyone recomend. any help will be appriciated.
Thanks, Chris
