Is it normal for the male of a pair to do tail wagging and scent marking, or is that strictly a female behavior? What other courting behaviors should I expect to see from a pair of BPs?
thx

Both will do it -- I've seen both genders do that last year as well as this year when I did a couple early pairings. They often turn their vent area inside out a bit and wipe it around -- on the unprinted newspaper I use, it shows up as sperm plugs and a bit of pinkish discharge. It means they're in the mood for love! If they don't do it, then I take it as them not being ready and I give them time before trying again.
