So I adopted a iguana before and about two weeks ago i adopted a
3-4 feet 3 year old iguana with no taming skills whatso ever
she hissed wiped and tryed to bite me while i cleaned her cage ..
of corse me slowly going into her cage slowly to clean her out

she eats super good ( she loves collard and mustard greens lol
but besides that ,
i would spend hours every day up stairs
just softly talking to her
finally last week about she started bobbing every evening about twice in a slower up and down motion ? ive read this is a hello ?
but thats what i accepted it as , and she would crawl up and down her cage ... exploring and tasting everything she could from her cage
finally yesterday she came down to the cage and i kinda put my hands in my arms and talked to her and she came to me ( soft voice )
so i was talking to her and she was tasting me .. i was excited lol
and today she came to the cage like she wanted me so i did the same thing and started talking to her and she like leaped on my right shoulder and stood there it shocked me
but i accepted it as a hello ? or is it something else ? her dwlap was down and she was tasting me ..
my question is ( im female so i have long hair )
and shes a big iguaan to go in my head and she like slides when she went on my head is there any way to tame her not to go on my head ? lol .. or do something... shes still hand shy a bit but ill fix that hopfully ??

im just so excited she is excepting me kinda

shes making me worried now.. she hasent eaten her greens right lately . leaves one plate full not one touch ? and when i talk to her her eye is closed and other one is open
is she ignorning me ? or maybe shes sick or ? i dont know ..

she was eatting fine the last two weeks she ate twice all the food was gone now shes doing this maybe winter is coming could that be a reason ?

Which eye is open, which eye is closed? If they shut the eye directed towards you it's kinda like "If I can't see you, you arn't there"

hi you say she was power eating and then stoped all together could be breeding season thats what my kiwi is going though now if its a girl has she ever layed eggs. if so you will have to get things ready for her she will need a nesting box and you need to keep it warm and moist not wet and maybe you will have eggs. igs will stop eating because eggs are getting bigger and taking up alot of room and start squishing her stomach.have you notice her not getting skinny even though she stoped eating i would say thats what is going on.still put her greens in smaller amounts everyday and keep her water dish full she will drink more than eat.she should start to eat again soon. if you want to be sure that what is going on take her to a vet and get xray done hope this helps.

i think it was becuase its cold here though... and her normal watt basking lamp burned out .. so i got a new one in and shes doing fine.. eatting normaly again

when she poops her belly is small and wrinkley ? so i dont think shes pregant
but ill put a nesting box in there anyway just incase
