Tank Size

Is a 75 gallon enough room for an older adult California King? Thoughts? Any information on finding a "decorative tank" bigger than that? We're looking for one that opens from the top. Thanks!

a 75 gallon tank is WAY more than enough room for even the biggest kingsnake in the world!

75 Gallon is HUGE!! Not even the largest/longest Kingsnake would need a tank that size. I keep my adult Cal. King in a 20 gallon long, this has been his home for the past 8 years and he is around 50".

I wanted to add that normally what works best is the tank should be about half of the snakes total length, this isn't a rule just a guide that some people including me like to follow.

GaBoo, where did you get those large hides? I'm having trouble finding bigger ones.

We keep our Florida king in a 30 breeder and it seems, I think, adequate for her even as she continues growing. Should be the last tank she needs. It's pictured here, but has mostly new furniture in it now...

We have a local "That Fish Place" normally I wouldn't spend the money and make/find my own but they had a decent deal on them and got two for cheaper then the price of one. The one I have in the picture is HERE but you can find one size larger then that.
