I'd be worried. Mites are bad and will multiply exponentially. I lucky have never had to deal with them. Others here can probably recommend a treatment better than I.

Those are in fact mites! We were watching a friends dragon for him and he was covered in the same little red "dots" that you are describing. They get between the scales of the dragon and latch on.

You need to empty out the whole cage, I mean EVERYTHING even substrate. You have to bleach or bake any wood decorations. Leave the separated dragon in a bare empty cage. If using sand, throw it out and start fresh with a new bag once the mites are completely gone. The mite eggs can hatch in the sand and decorations and will keep coming back. Make sure to clean the tank everyday with as hot of water as you can bear and soap or use a 10 to 1 bleach water solution and rinse well. Before putting the dragon back into the cage, make sure there is NO bleach smell remaining because the fumes are toxic to the dragon.

As for the dragon we gave him long soaks in warm water. This will cause the mites that are underwater to drown because they do not want to leave their "hiding" spot. We also used a spray on the dragon called "Reptile Relief by Natural Chemistry". Be sure to use only as directed as this stuff is strong. Use a Q-Tip soaked with the spray on the head to avoid getting the spray into the eyes and mouth of the dragon. It will effectively kill the mites, but you have to keep up on it. We also soaked the dragon, after it's bath, in Betadine (which can be picked up at Walmart) that was diluted to a tea color to clean the bite wounds so they would not become infected.

We first started with the Zoo-Med Mite spray but it did nothing but wet the animal. Once we switched to the Reptile Relief, we saw instant results. It can be picked up at any pet store or online as well.

It took us about a week and a half to completely rid the dragon of mites. It sucks, but after it is done, the dragon will feel so much better!!

red dots are mites. Maybe ticks, but in either case the treatment is pretty much the same.

These dots are red because the mites are engorged in blood. Moving mites tend to be mites that have reached full maturity and are looking for a place to mate and lay eggs off the dragon. When in the biting state they latch on and stay there.

Do everything suggested previously. If you can't find the Reptile Relief, Provent a Mite is also a good product. It can be sprayed on cages as well as the dragon. Jut follow the directions on the can exactly.

If you have any invertebrates in your house (feeder insects such as crickets, roaches, silkworms etc. Or pets, such as tarantulas, scorpions etc. Get them as far away as possible from your dragons. Put them in a completely different room on a different floor if possible. If you only have one room, it may be best to store your pet bugs with a friend, and just keep your feeder insects as far away as possible. Both mite removal products will kill all insects or the majority of them, if it comes in contact with them.

If you have more than one dragon, treat their cages and the dragon as well, even if you can't see any mites on them. This ensures that some mites won't latch onto your other dragons.

You may have to repeat treatments once every month for a few months with the Provent a Mite. The Reptile Relief i never used so not sure on the recommended frequency. I would still treat once a month with it as well. This way eggs hatching outside the cage and babies migrate to your dragons cages, will be killed before they can fully mature and breed.

If you let your dragons free roam, then you are in for a really big job. You will have to pretty much wash the entire house, as mites could be all over the place depending on how far you let your dragon roam.

Yes those are mites. If you are using sand I have heard that the sand from Home Depot carried the red mites. You might want to switch to a different bedding.
