Nose bump- concerns?

Steve_Harrison Oct 16, 2007 10:37 AM

Hey,

Two of my adult females have developed a nose bump. One is a wild caught that has had it over a year and has had no problems- eats and breeds great- 6 big eggs! The other developed it more recently. Dr. John Rossi (my vet) has it confused with the 'pustule' that boas can get sometimes- this seems to be a calcified mass.....

I'd love to figure out how to post pics on here from photobucket- the best I can do is the below link.

Thoughts?

I think my het. piebald female has the same issue.
I bred with her previous season, healthy babies and I didn't notice anything on the offspring.

I cant see the photobucket pics cause of the filter at my work.
What do you have covering the tubs in your rack? I have a couple females that have nose bumps on top and I believe its from rubbing up againts the top of the tub? I was thinking about changing the tops, just recently as a matter of fact. I use masonite with the holes in it, smooth side turned inwards to face the snakes.

What do you have covering your tubs?
