Expo in Raleigh...

dubumb Aug 22, 2003 06:24 PM

Is anyone here going to attend the expo in raleigh, NC the 30th and 31st? I hope to be there, I've never been to an expo before and I am hoping to find a tortoise that i will purchase. Has anyone been to this expo in Raleigh before? is it big?

thanks!

I live in NC and have been to the show in Raleigh several times.
They have two a year - spring and fall. It's fairly good sized
(I've been to Columbia SC and Atlanta GA expos also) but I will
tell you, you will not find turtles/tortoises for sale there.
Unless somethings changed, they don't allow them at the NC
shows. I live in Fayetteville and Oak Island and you should
try to get a tort from someone on this forum that breeds them. If
you can't find one - I know where you can get any animal that's
legal - pet shop here in Fay.

Are the prices in the petshop there reasonable? thanks for the info on the show!

The place is called "Aqua-Rama" and the number is (910) 868-3482.
They are on Bragg Boulevard, also known as Highway 87 in Fayetteville.

I don't know about the prices (seem normal to me, of course a pet
shop is going to be higher than a show) but who cares, the animal
is always the least expensive item in ownership.
