lizard health problems?

nei Oct 16, 2007 02:33 PM

My lizard (chinese water dragon) has been sick for a few weeks now, and has a soft bump on his neck that is getting bigger.
I'm trying to figure out what it is, but it doesn't seem to be one of the common ailments that I've found on many sites. I'm working on finding some books that might help me find out what it is, but does anyone know of some websites that have a very detailed or longer list of lizard health problems?
The basic ones aren't really helping.

a pic may help us out if you have one, but if your not finding it with common illnesses on many sites then its time to see the vet. web sites are great for hints and tips, but nothing replaces the care of a good vet!

While so many people on these forums are experts in reptile care and husbandry, veterinary medicine is a whole different world. Even if you found something that resembled your lizard's condition, finding a positive diagnoses, and then a treatment plan, plus carrying it out, is beyond that of even the most advanced keepers.
